The Game of Politics (1 sub-board) The place for political scheming and plotting and making deals, from the little political plots to the big ones.
Denerim (8 sub-boards) Once a vibrant, bustling city, now on the way to reconstruction after being nearly destroyed during the last Blight, Denerim remains the very heart of Ferelden. This capital city has much to offer, from the Royal Palace and Fort Drakon to the shady back alleys and dangerous elven alienage. The streets here are rife with crime, but within the city there is still the memory of the great spirit Denerim once possessed and a glimmer of hope for the future.
Highever (4 sub-boards) The birthplace of both the Warden and of Duncan of the Grey Wardens, Highever is one of two remaining Teyrnirs left in Ferelden. During the last Blight it was believed that the Cousland family, who had ruled over the Teyrnir for a very long time, had all been killed at the hands of Rendon Howe. Howe's treachery was later revealed by both sons, Aedan and Fergus Cousland, who had survived the attack on the castle. Fergus Cousland, upon his return from the Korcari Wilds, was given back the Teyrnir and now rules over Highever as was his birthright.
Arling of Amaranthine (4 sub-boards) Amaranthine is a coastal region in northern Ferelden, and before the last Blight was ruled over by the Arl of Amaranthine, Rendon Howe. After his subsequent death and reveal as power-hungry and treacherous, the land of Amaranthine was gifted by the King to the order of Grey Wardens, who now utilize most of the northern border including Soldier's Peak and parts of Highever as part of their base of operations in Ferelden.
Gwaren (1 sub-board) Gwaren is a major, but remote town in Ferelden, described as being a "rough town full of loggers and fishermen" on the southeast coast of Ferelden. Loghain was the appointed Teyrn, and remained so until the end of the Blight. With his death and his daughter Anora banished, the Teyrnir has been largely overlooked and a new Teyrn has yet to be appointed.
The Bannorn (7 sub-boards) The Bannorn is the name given to the central lowland region in Ferelden. It forms the backbone of Ferelden in terms of both agriculture and population. The Bannorn possesses the largest number of freeholders in Ferelden, many of whom belong to banns. A number of relatively minor lords also reside in the Bannorn and, as a group, they represent a powerful political force. No king, even with his own army, could hope to control the Bannorn by force.
Redcliffe (3 sub-boards) Named for the red earth of the cliffs that tower above it, Redcliffe is a town located on the clear waters of Lake Calenhad. Ruled by Arl Eamon, this town suffered some damage at the hands of roving undead and Darkspawn during the Blight. Since the Landsmeet and the Arl's recovery from a grave illness, Redcliffe has quickly begun to rebuild again.

Arling of West Hills The West Hills of the Frostback Mountains sit at the edge of the Kocari Wilds. Home to the Wulff family and the fabled Ash Warriors, the rolling hills once made for excellent farming and cattle raising that the Blight has damaged badly. It is considered the frontier of Ferelden and it is a place that breeds tough, if gruff, people.

Lothering Before it was decimated during the last Blight, Lothering used to be a stop for travelers along the Imperial Highway to purchase goods or to rest. Lothering was one of the first towns to meet the Darkspawn's wrath, and little stands there now besides ruined buildings and death. Surviving farmers from the surrounding area have recently been allowed to return to their homes and rebuild, and the King has recently ordered a campaign to Lothering to help them reconstruct the town.
Lake Calenhad (2 sub-boards) The calm and shimmering waters of Lake Calenhad are the lifeblood of towns such as Redcliffe as well as the Circle Tower. Both castle and tower are poised on its sparkling banks, giving the lake it's spirit of regality by which it represents it's royal name.
Brecilian Forest (1 sub-board) The Brecilian Forest is a massive, expansive verdant green forest, covering most of eastern Ferelden. Once home to all of the tribes of travelling Dalish elves, the woods have been relatively unoccupied; most of the elves, save a few, have left to the Korcari Wilds to settle, and the cursed Werewolf population mysteriously disappeared during the Blight. The forests are still a treacherous territory; though with most of the Dalish and Werewolves gone, more logging and poaching has been taking place, much to the dislike of the few remaining bands of elves that still call the forest their home.

Korcari Wilds (1 sub-board) This large expanse of forest in southern Ferelden is largely unknown and is the home to the Chasind "wilder" folk. It is a dark and dangerous place, full of barbarians, fierce creatures and is also believed to be the home of the Witch of the Wilds, though she hasn't been spotted for some time. During the last Blight, these wilds were where the Darkspawn began their invasion into Ferelden, though most of Ferelden has been led to believe that nothing but cold desolate tundras lay to the south.
Frostback Mountains (4 sub-boards) Guarding the western border between Ferelden and the rest of Thedas, the great Frostback Mountains are home to the mighty dwarven city of Orzammar and the Deep Roads, the small town of Haven, and the recently discovered ancient temple where Andraste's ashes were laid to rest. The roads are busy with travelers to Orlais and dwarven merchants alike, and as dwarven restrictions on the surface world are lessened, more and more travelers head towards these once near-uninhabited mountains.

Orzammar (5 sub-boards) The awe-inspiring last-remaining bastion of the dwarven kingdoms, Orzammar, is carved in the hollows of the Frostback Mountains. Their culture is still highly segregated, though since King Bhelen inherited his father's crown, he has been working hard to improve the rights of the casteless dwarves, as well as improving relations with the outside world. Orzimmar is more open to outsiders now than it has been in history, though this has produced much turmoil for the city and its inhabitants. It is a magnificent city steeped in tradition, where the most talented smiths forge the finest weapons and armors, poised over a hot sea of molten lava.

Soldier's Peak Soldier's Peak is an antiquated keep, built some time after the second Blight that once housed Grey Wardens who lived and trained there. Protected by the mountains and a twisting maze of tunnels, Soldier's Peak was only recently reclaimed during the last Blight and troublesome demons forcibly removed. Now it is home to a family of merchants, and is once again beginning to be utilized by the Grey Wardens as one base of operations.

Thedas
Orlais (2 sub-boards) The Orlesian Empire is considered the most powerful nation in Thedas, and its culture and society make it amongst the most progressive as well. Some Fereldens are still hostile to Orlesians, having pushed out the Orlesian rule only 30 years before the last Blight. Orlais is home to the Chantry, and is currently undergoing a cultural renaissance with emphasis on higher education and the arts.

Antiva (1 sub-board) Home to the deadliest order of Assassins, the Antivan Crows, some would think it strange to hear that the military prowess of Antiva is almost none. With no standing army, their only true defense is the Crows. Their long line of Kings has not had it's bloodline broken for more than two thousand years, though many of those Kings have been illegitimates; notably, the true rulers of Antiva are the merchant princes that control the trade.

The Fade The Fade is a metaphysical realm and part of Thedas, though it is separated by what some call the Veil. The Fade is populated both by benevolent spirits and evil demons. All beings of Thedas except the dwarves pass into the Fade when they dream, though mages are the only beings to remain conscious during their time there. The spirits of the Fade change the landscape to match that which they see in the minds of the dreamers; but there is one constant. Looming over all realms of the Fade is the Black City in the distance, corrupted by the Tevinter mages who sparked the first Blight. Only once have beings physically entered the Fade, and none since have been able to reach the Black City.
